Paint, Sip & Unwind - 28 June & 9 July
Sometimes the best times are the simplest ones: good company, a glass of something cold in hand and trying something new.
Our Paint ‘n’ Sip events at The Barns at Polehanger offers exactly that – an opportunity to slow down the pace, get creative and enjoy a relaxed countryside setting.
Whether you’re meeting up with friends, celebrating something special or just looking for an excuse to escape everyday life for a while, these relaxed creative events make a perfect addition to a summer’s day.

Wind In The Willows At Polehanger - 5 & 9 August
For families staying with us during the summer holidays, or those local to Bedfordshire and Hertfordshire, August brings something a little magical.
A captivating one-man open-air performance of Wind In The Willows will arrive at Polehanger Farm, bringing beloved characters to life against a backdrop of summer evenings and beautiful countryside.
It’s the kind of experience children remember long after the summer ends – and one that adults enjoy just as much.
Open to all but a real treat if you happen to be glamping with us at the start of August, with on site entertainment just a short walk from your cabin.
Bring your picnic blanket, settle in and enjoy the show.
Dates: 5 & 9 August 2026

Using Polehanger As Your Base For Summer Events
Summer in Bedfordshire brings more than countryside walks and long evenings outdoors.
If you’re visiting for larger local events, staying somewhere with space to relax before and after can make all the difference.
Whether you’re heading to the farming festival atmosphere of Groundswell or planning a weekend around the concerts taking place during Bedford Summer Sessions, Polehanger Farm makes a great base for exploring the wider area while still enjoying tranquil surroundings.
The Farmhouse at Polehanger is already fully booked around some of this year’s biggest summer dates, but if you’re planning ahead for 2027 – or looking for availability this season – consider staying at The Meadows at Polehanger and experiencing luxury glamping instead.
Because sometimes the best part of a big day out is having somewhere peaceful to return to afterwards.
Why Events Make A Countryside Stay Even Better
One of the things guests tell us time and time again is that they love the freedom to do as much – or as little – as they like.
Spend the morning exploring countryside walks, enjoy the gardens and open space back at The Farmhouse at Polehanger, challenge each other on the tennis court or simply sit outside while the dogs explore.
And if your stay happens to coincide with something special happening in the local area even better.
Sometimes the breaks you remember most are the ones you didn’t plan. Recent guests came to the stay in the farmhouse and didn’t leave all weekend…sounds like absolute bliss to me.
Planning A Stay This Summer or Autumn?
Whether you’re looking for a family getaway, gathering friends together for a weekend in the country or just searching for somewhere that gives everyone space to properly switch off, the coming months are shaping up to be really rather lovely.
From long evenings outdoors and garden games on the lawn to countryside walks, local events and relaxing mornings with coffee outside, there’s plenty waiting for you at The Farmhouse at Polehanger.
We’d love to welcome you.
