We have croquet for the lawn plus a table tennis table at the farmhouse too. And there’s lots to explore in the local area if you can tear yourself away. 

Dog Friendly Farm Stay

Your dogs are also welcome to come and enjoy a luxury farm stay – we allow two well-behaved dogs to join you on your break at our luxury farmhouse accommodation. 

We have a second entry into the attached cottage which features a tiled floor, perfect for wet feet or muddy dog paws. This area has space for a dog bed, so feel free to bring your pups favourite cosy blanket or bed.

Open throughout the year and with breathtaking views in all seasons. You can enjoy delicious meals and cosy evenings by the fireplace in winter, or long walks, BBQ’s and fun by the fire pit in summer. All while watching the sunset over the cornfields behind the house.

There’s lots to keep everyone busy at The Farmhouse at Polehanger in rural Bedfordshire, so don’t forget your trainers. Kick off your morning with a gentle walk through the river woodland, wander across the fields, or grab a friend and hit the tennis court for a laid-back game together.

If a bit of relaxation is more the mood your guests can enjoy a simple game of croquet on the lawn - we have everything you need ready and waiting.

To ensure your party is the talking point, why not organise a flower crown or cocktail making class as an activity. Follow that with a private chef to create a feast or order in a delicious grazing board to savour with wine & fizz for a memorable evening.

With our luxury farm stay, there is so much to do, all from your doorstep, you don’t even have to leave the site all weekend.

A winter break at the Farmhouse at Polehanger

Check in late afternoon to The Farmhouse at Polehanger on the beautiful Polehanger farm. At the end of our tree line driveway, you’ll find our beautiful, luxury farmhouse.

Built in the 18th century, with all its rustic and period charm, but with many contemporary features, with new bathrooms and two fully equipped kitchens.

Warm yourself by the Aga while enjoying a welcome cuppa and sweet treat before you explore our luxury offering: six bedrooms, three living rooms, a dining room that fits 14 people and beautiful period features, including original beams and inglenook fire place.  

Whip yourself and the family up a delicious meal on the Aga and enjoy it in our spacious dining room. Have an evening by the fireplace, enjoying a good catch up, a glass of wine and maybe a game. We have lots to offer in your country escape.

After a good night’s rest in the comfiest beds, have a slow start to the day, followed by a muddy walk in the Polehanger river woodland, or a walk to the village on our network of footpaths. If you don’t want to leave the house, curl up the fire with a good book, or a friend and a pack of cards. If you want a pamper weekend away, contact our massage therapist to come to the house, or maybe a pamper party? If you want to brave the cold, you could play some tennis, or maybe table tennis?

Your luxury stay at Polehanger wouldn’t be complete without a private chef. They can come to the Farmhouse and it will be the ultimate country escape as you relax while your chef creates a delicious meal for you – and there’s no washing up to do! This is the perfect luxury accommodation.
