Looking for hen weekend houses for a luxury escape with your besties only an hour from London? Then you’ve found the right place!

Our group accommodation at the farmhouse at Polehanger is perfect for a hen weekend – we know – we have hosted a few!

If you’re after a country escape from the city – look no further. Winter or summer, our luxury farmhouse won’t disappoint.

Imagine, you arrive late on a Friday afternoon in May. The sun is shining and there’s plenty of time to unpack, relax and meet in the garden for a few afternoon drinks.

The Farmhouse Countryside Meeting Place

 Perhaps you will do a cocktail making class that evening and learn to shake (or stir) your favourite tipple.  Its all possible in our luxury house for hire.

After a lovely lie in (or a run along our network of footpaths) for the more active, catch up for a delicious breakfast in our large dining  room, or in the beautiful gardens at Polehanger.  You might want to make it a pamper weekend and enlist the help of our masseuse – or our beautician for a facial, manicure or pedicure. The more active among you may hit the tennis court or play some badminton/croquet/table tennis. Or you may just want to soak up the sun and put the world to rights with your besties.

An afternoon of painting can be organised  - or perhaps make yourself a beautiful flower crown with our florist team.  Its always a giggle and the perfect complement to your country stay.

If you want a night out, look no further than Hitchin – a great local town with an abundance of bars and restaurants. Book a table and a taxi and it will make for a great night out. If you want to stay closer to home in our farmhouse country stay, why not bring in a private chef to whip you up a delicious meal? They’ll do all the cooking – and the washing up!

So many things to do on your hen weekend at the Farmhouse at Polehanger – your only difficulty will be fitting them all in!

A winter break at the Farmhouse at Polehanger

You’ve escaped the city for the weekend (this farmhouse stay is only an hour from London), and got your nearest and dearest together for a luxury stay at the Farmhouse at Polehanger – you’re looking forward to a wonderful country escape.  

With our farmhouse holidays, there is so much to do from your doorstep, you don’t even have to leave the site all weekend.

Check in late afternoon to the Farmhouse at Polehanger on the beautiful Polehanger farm. At the end of our tree line driveway, you’ll find our beautiful, luxury farmhouse.

Built in the 17th century, with all its rustic and period charm, but with many contemporary features, with new bathrooms and two fully equipped kitchens.

Warm yourself by the Aga while enjoying a welcome cuppa and sweet treat before you explore our luxury offering: 6 bedrooms, three living rooms, a dining room that fits 14 people and beautiful period features, including original beams and inglenook fire place.  

Whip yourself and the family up a delicious meal on the Aga and enjoy it in our spacious dining room. Have an evening by the fireplace, enjoying a good catch up, a glass of wine and maybe a game. We have lots to offer in your country escape.

After a good night’s rest in the comfiest beds, have a slow start to the day, followed by a muddy walk in the Polehanger river woodland, or a walk to the village on our network of footpaths. If you don’t want to leave the house, curl up the fire with a good book, or a friend and a pack of cards. If you want a pamper weekend away, contact our massage therapist to come to the house, or maybe a pamper party? If you want to brave the cold, you could play some tennis, or maybe table tennis?

Your luxury stay at Polehanger wouldn’t be complete without a private chef. They can come to the Farmhouse and it will be the ultimate country escape as you relax while your chef creates a delicious meal for you – and there’s no washing up to do! This is the perfect luxury accommodation.
